Our New York location operates multiple network Points of Presence (POPs) and Data Center facilities throughout metro New York City and the Eastern seaboard. We connect to the most important Internet connection hubs on the East Coast, including Telehouse, Equinix Newark, Equinix Secaucus, NYCC (111 8th Avenue) and Equinix Ashburn (Washington, DC) via a private redundant dark fiber ring.

The data center offers complete redundancy in power, HVAC, network connectivity, and security. The data center facility is serviced through multiple power grids, with full UPS battery backup power and diesel generators on-site. Our network is supplied by several separate networks including, Level(3), Verizon Business, Sprint, TeliaSonera, AT&T and is supplemented by local peering.

Why New York?

Clients located anywhere in the US East Coast or in Eastern Canada will experience the lowest latency to our New York location. Internet routes to this location are also favorable to clients located in the United Kingdom and Western Europe, making New York a good base of operations for customers who are looking for good latency for both North Americans and Europeans alike.

  • Fire Suppression System

    A state-of-the-art fire suppression system constantly monitors the physical environment for smoke, chemicals and other hazardous materials that might spark a fire. In the case of a fire emergency, the VESDA smoke detection system would trigger the preaction alarm, before any water is released, allowing the alarm to be handled using the best available means by our onsite technicians. If the fire cannot be contained, water is released only after an Emergency Power Off has been initiated.

    Redundant and Precise HVAC System

    Temperature control is critical in maintaining fast, efficient performance from our equipment. Our facilities are built completely N+1 redundant and are cooled by multiple Liebert HVAC units, which pipe glycol-cooled air through ducted air flows and provide cold air precisely where it is needed - at the intake of our enterprise-class server hardware. The Liebert HVAC system delivers constant, ideal air conditions, between 68 and 74 degrees Fahrenheit and between 40% and 50% relative humidity at all times. Our HVAC system uses efficient and effective chilled water cooling, not a standard forced/chilled air configuration. Our HVAC systems maintain a minimum of N+1 redundancy, allowing the data center to maintain a constant, cool environment that is conducive to our customers' mission-critical operations.

    Redundant Power and UPS

    The power systems are equipped with a level of redundancy that guarantees continuous operation. To ensure that the data center is always operational all the time, a multi-layer power generation system, using some of the highest grade equipment available, is in place. Redundant power is guaranteed by a DC power plant, 2 UPS systems and a rooftop diesel backup generator. Unlike some other data centers the climate control and security measures are also backed up with redundant power to ensure clean operation during power outages.

    Security

    Security is provided by full time security personnel, 24/7 closed circuit IP-monitored video cameras and unique card reader access to all facilities. Additionally, all network infrastructure is caged for separate "as needed only" access by our onsite technicians.
